d) Positive thinking- should it really be difficult for you to turn your thoughts to the present at all times, look on the brighter side of things to come. Remember, 70%-80% of your fears are unreal. When anxious, challenge your current fears by thinking of previous worries and how many of them actually came true.
e) Open up- anxiety should not be bottled up. Rather than thinking to yourself all the time or doing mind chatting, talk to a trusted confidante who would not feed on your anxieties. Rather, he or she can help you gain new perspectives of those you are often anxious about.
These strategies will surely take time to learn especially if anxiety has been plaguing you for some time now. Yet the more you try to do them, you can surely expect rewards that will make you happier and less anxious.
